Electronics Design Engineer

Emphasis will be on the design and development of power electronics converters and associated systems such as thermal management control and interface.

The successful candidate will join a cross-functional team responsible for evaluating options and determining technical direction for future product(s), and performing a wide range of interdisciplinary tasks to get the work done. 

The individual will lead the design effort responsible for conceiving, simulating, prototyping, coding, and testing hardware and controls as well as optimization concepts.  

Successful candidate to have a broad range of experience in control algorithms and associated tool chain together with in-depth experience in power electronics devices and electronic circuit board. 

Other activities and responsibilities may include:

  • Software-in-loop / Controller-in-loop analysis using Matlab/Simulink/PSIM
  • Design and development of high power/high voltage power electronics inverter and converter
  • Develop test plans and execute tests on hardware-in-loop
  • Test bench fidelity development/improvement
  • Document results in technical reports
  • Maintain design documentation for each design in a neat and organized fashion for review by other engineering personnel.

SKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:

  • MSc/PhD in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with focus on inverters and converters
  • Minimum 2 years industrial experience in analyzing and designing automotive /industrial control systems
  • Power electronics devices/Modules experience
  • Firm knowledge of control theory
  • Specialist level knowledge in Matlab/Simulink (additional C programming language a plus)
  • Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills.
  • Experience with datalinks; CAN, RS232/485 Profibus is a plus.

Manufacturing Engineer

The successful candidate to lead the manufacturing engineering effort, developing processes, design flows and specify equipment to meet future demand.

Other activities and responsibilities may include:

  • Develop manufacturing processes for (maintain & develop, safe, effective and efficient) manufacturing processes
  • Work on area layouts to improve workflows and ergonomics; work with customers and engineers to resolve conflicts and reduce variation
  • Accountable for the manufacturing capital investment plan
  • Accountability and delivery of all manufacturing projects linked to new process development and new product introduction from manufacturing engineering perspective
  • To undertake tasks as a member of a cross functional teams, to achieve business objectives and support manufacturing engineering globally.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to provide timely support and resolution of quality issues
  • Interface with Engineering on specification issues and support issue resolution
  • Train operators and inspectors
  • Support housekeeping and safety goals
    Work in the TBWS and be a coach to the operating teams and develop Team Functions Implementation Plan
  • Maintain and help create a safe working environment
  • Maintain accurate routings; help with process documentation; coordinate 7-Step implementation of new product/new process introduction
  • Work with engineering in writing process changes to improve operations and eliminating obsolesces

SKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:

  • BSc in Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3 years industrial experience in low / medium volume manufacturing plant
  • Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills
  • Shop Ops Process Flow Nonconforming Material Control Conflict Management Using common improvement tools
  • Problem Solving skills Kaizen Communication Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Design Engineer

As a key member of the design group, he/she will focus on concept realization, developing drawings, designing assemblies and fixtures. Concept work is often uncharted and requires visionary skills to bridge from conventional to the future.

The successful candidate should have experience in the design and development of electronic assemblies, metal fabrications and plastic moldings.

Key activities and responsibilities will include:

  • Proficiently utilize SolidWorks for the design layout of various components
  • Interact closely with the wider engineering and manufacturing team to understand technical data and set the appropriate design strategy (Analysis Led Design)
  • Develop BOM and method documents
  • Understanding the cost impact of engineering changes
  • Maintain documentation for components and sub-system assemblies in a neat and organized fashion for review by other engineering personnel.

    SKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:

    • Mechanical Engineering degree
    • 3 years industrial experience in designing automotive /industrial components
    • SolidWorks experience is essential
    • Capability to understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

    Battery pack assembler and technician

    AllCell Technologies is seeking battery pack assemblers and technicians. These roles will work in conjunction with the Production and Engineering groups to build product while seeking ways to improve manufacturability and overall quality. We are looking for technically inclined professionals who are self-motivated, have critical thinking skills, are willing to work in a constantly-evolving industry, and will not be limited by their job description.

      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Spot-welding nickel plates to battery cells
      • Assembling wires to circuit boards and battery packs
      • Soldering wires and connectors
      • Operating CNC equipment
      • Other light manufacturing duties as needed


      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Electrical assembly experience
      • Soldering Experience
      • CNC operation experience
      • Ability to resistive-spot weld a plus
      • Basic knowledge of battery safety a plus
      • Basic knowledge of electrostatic discharge a plus
