SP Module™ Lithium-ion Batteries
The 24V SP Module™ can be combined in series and/or in parallel to meet a wide variety of energy storage requirements. Built with premium lithium-ion cells, AllCell’s proprietary PCC™ thermal management material, and robust and flexible electronics, the SP Module is powerful, energy dense, and easy to integrate. The SP Module is a great fit for new products or as a replacement for lead acid or iron phosphate modules.
Series and Parallel
With the addition of a master controller, the SP Module can be connected in series and/or parallel, providing a standard module that can accommodate custom energy, voltage, and power needs.
Protection from Solar Soaking
Large battery systems are often placed in outdoor metal enclosures, which can become very hot when in direct sunlight. In lead acid systems, for every 15 degrees the temperature averages above 77° Fahrenheit, battery life is cut in half. In standard lithium-ion systems the impact is not as severe, but high average temperatures still degrade life. Air conditioning systems are bulky, heavy, and expensive, but there’s a better way to keep your batteries cool. AllCell’s PCC™ technology can passively absorb environmental heat all day long, keeping cells cool even during discharge and when the battery is exposed to direct sunlight in hot climates.
Cycle Life and Safety
AllCell’s proprietary PCC technology absorbs waste heat ensuring uniform pack temperature, and has passed the UL 94 flammability test with V-0 rating. The result is industry leading safety with extended cycle life. Internal and external testing along with a history of success in the field have demonstrated the technology’s ability to protect against thermal runaway propagation. AllCell’s PCC material increases cycle life by 50%-100% compared to similar batteries with no thermal management.
The SP Module will be available in the second half of 2014.
